Ibberson was contracted by Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Co., Ltd., (C.P. Foods), Bangkok, Thailand for engineering, foreign equipment supply, and technical services for its largest grain storage and feed manufacturing complex in Thailand. The agricultural complex is one component for one of Asia’s newest and largest integrated poultry operations that also includes new broiler grow-out farms, hatchery, slaughterhouse and poultry meat processing.
The facility includes six slipformed concrete structures that include wet corn pre-drying storage with 3,000 MT, grinding workhouse with 36,000 MT storage, protein meal storage of 18,600 MT, a feed mill capable of manufacturing 1,200,000 MT per year and four slipformed concrete grain silos with a total capacity of 54,350 MT of wheat or 50,892 MT of corn. The silos can be used for either grain or wheat.
The feed mill structure is one of the largest in Asia, standing at 244 feet in height with 100 bins, with the largest pelleting line in Thailand. While the size of this facility is impressive, more important, the facility will support the production of safe, clean meat for export.
