Ibberson provided engineering, fabrication, project management, equipment supply and onsite construction supervision on this modular feed mill.
From the onset, Ralston Purina required a feed mill to produce their product at a particular capacity and have the expansion capabilities of doubling its original output. This all-purpose mill produces hog and poultry feed, along with a variety of other animal feeds. From the mill, the Purina products are distributed throughout the Philippines.
Ibberson’s innovative modular mill system is the method of design and construction used for this project. The modular system involves complete installation of processing equipment and assembly of U.S. industry-standard equipment into modules at the Minnesota factory. Once complete, the modules were then shipped to the construction site and assembled or stacked together by local crews.
The assembly was very quick on the Villasis project as the units were assembled in less than two weeks. The overall time needed for erection and commissioning was also reduced due to the modular system, enabling Ibberson to meet the tight 11-month schedule.
